Our Journey

Founded in 2020, Bicycle Revival is a community-focused organisation dedicated to helping more people discover - and rediscover - the joy of cycling. Whether you’re completely new to riding or a seasoned cyclist looking for friendly group rides, our mission is to make cycling accessible, safe, and rewarding for everyone. Bicycle revival aims to utilise local cycling infrastructure as much as posible, using bike lanes, shared pathways, gravel paths and accessable land.

We run a variety of services to support and inspire our community, including:

  • Community-led rides guided by qualified ride leaders.

  • Cycle leader training for those who want to inspire others.

  • National Standard cycle training (Levels 1, 2 & 3) to build skills and confidence on the road.

  • Basic bicycle maintenance courses so you can keep your bike in top condition.

  • Dr Bike pop-up events offering free safety checks and advice.

Our rides and activities are open to cyclists aged 18+, with younger riders welcome when accompanied by a responsible adult. We believe cycling is more than just transport - it’s a powerful tool for:

  • Improving fitness and wellbeing

  • Supporting mental health

  • Reducing our carbon footprint

  • Creating social connections and shared experiences

  • Learning practical skills and road safety

Bicycle Revival is led by an experienced trainer/ride leader with over 15 years in the cycling industry, working closely with Liverpool City region Combined Authority, Cycling UK, St Helens Council, and Liverpool Hospital Trust. Our founder’s background also includes training professional HGV drivers in safe urban driving standards, ensuring that our approach to cycling is rooted in both safety and understanding of the road environment.

At Bicycle Revival, we believe every journey by bike can be a step towards a healthier, happier, and more connected community.

Meet Our Passionate Team

Our primary ride leaders are a friendly, approachable bunch who are always up for a chat. They’re your go-to people for advice, support, or just swapping a few stories before the ride - don’t hesitate to say hi!
